Domestic Violence suspect faces attempted murder charges - KSWT-TV

Yuma--The man accused of assaulting his girlfriend with a frying pan is formally charged

Dylan Escalanti went before Judge Gregory Stewart at the Yuma County Justice Court to be read his formal charges.

The 33-year old is suspected of beating his girlfriend with a frying pan last week.

Judge Stewart said during Escalanti's domestic altercation, Escalanti had beaten his girlfriend with a frying pan in the bedroom and bathroom.

Stewart said Escalanti had also attempted to attack her with a knife in the living room.

His girlfriend was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center for multiple fractures to her skull, neck and hand as a result of the assault.

Escalanti faces three felony counts of attempted first degree murder and one felony count for kidnapping per domestic violence.

Escalanti's bond was reset at one million dollars and is due back in court next month.
