Two arrested for drugs and traffic infractions - Buffalo News

PERRY – Two Batavia men were arrested on a variety of charges after a traffic stop on Church Street here about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office announced Monday.

Deric J. Hewitt, 28, and Sean M. Miller, 27, were arrested after the car Hewitt was driving was stopped. After Hewitt failed field sobriety tests deputies found marijuana and oxycodone pills in his car and he and Miller were taken into custody. Miller was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Hewitt was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, unlawful possession of marijuana, driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood-alcohol content of more than 0.08 per cent, inadequate brake lights and failing to notify the state Department of Motor Vehicles of his change of address. Hewitt's car was towed and he and Miller were released to a third party pending a Perry Village Court session March 27.
