Eight people killed in Karachi violence - Geo News, Pakistan

KARACHI: At least eight people lost their lives in the latest spree of targeted killings in different parts of the city on Sunday, Geo News reported.

According to details, a body bearing severe torture marks was recovered in Malir River area. The identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained.

A man identified as Fayaz was killed by armed dacoits during resistance in robbery Near Awami Markaz. Citizens captured an alleged dacoit and handed him over to police.

A man was shot dead in Nazimamabad-2 area. Police said that the deceased was a dacoit and was killed by a citizen during robbery.

Another man was gunned down in Mauripur area of the city. The slain was identified as Shafqat.

Three more people, including a policeman, were shot dead in Jamshed Quarters, Shah Faisal Colony and Nepair areas of the metropolis.
