Arrests for drug offences - This is South Wales

POLICE have carried out a series of drug warrants across Carmarthenshire.

Dyfed-Powys officers have also arrested and given warnings to some of those dealt with during the operation.

On Tuesday, December 18, a man was arrested in Carmel on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis after a search of his property revealed an underground basement with a complex hydroponics set-up.

He has since been charged and he appeared before magistrates on Wednesday.

On the same day, a warrant was carried out at Llys Caermedi, Carmarthen, where a quantity of drugs believed to be ketamine and herbal cannabis was seized.

A 19-year-old local man has been arrested and is on police bail.

In Ammanford, a warrant was executed in Teglan Park where a bag containing meow meow (mephedrone) was found and a 37-year-old local man given an adult caution for possession of the drug.

Police also gave a warning to a 26-year-old after a quantity of herbal cannabis was seized in High Street, Tumble.
