BJD will organise a district-wide demonstration on Tuesday demanding resignation of Congress MP Pradip Majhi over his controversial photograph.
District BJD president and Minister of State for Sports and Youth Services Ramesh Majhi, addressing mediapersons on Sunday, said the Congress MP should resign on 'moral grounds'. "There cannot be smoke without fire," he quipped.
The Minister announced that his party workers would organise rallies and demonstrations in all blocks of the district and the district headquarters town demanding resignation of the Congress leder. BJD will also submit a memorandum to President Pranab Mukherjee through the local administration urging him to suspend Majhi from the Lok Sabha.
The Minister, however, parried queries on why the party did not demand resignation of some BJD ministers who faced similar charges in the past.
Meanwhile, BJD activists are busy distributing copies of Odia dailies that carried the objectionable picture of Majhi.
Earlier, the MP told this paper that some State Congress leaders are orchestrating a scandalous campaign against him. The photo is 'fake, tampered and photo-shopped," he said.

District BJD president and Minister of State for Sports and Youth Services Ramesh Majhi reconstituted the district working committee of the party and announced new office bearers of the party on Sunday.
