Facebook won't delete hateful pages - Hamilton Spectator

I have belonged to Facebook for some time. It's fun to play games and chat with friends. But what I don't agree with is the hate and the bullying.

Recently, there was a death. Amanda Todd, a beautiful young girl, made a few unsafe choices and got bullied and took her own life. I came upon a few pages on Facebook where there was so much hate, along with nasty and even obscene pictures, that I was horrified. I reported the pages and pictures that I saw. I told Facebook that it's downright bullying and should be removed.

Someone named Vicki from Facebook replied: "The page you reported doesn't violate Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities." How far is this going to go? Facebook, YouTube — are newspapers going to start bullying next? I am so upset over this, I'm debating deleting my Facebook. I know a number of people who have reported the obscene pages about this young woman and Facebook still isn't deleting it. What can be done?
