Seven people killed by flash floods in Southern Spain - euronews

The Murcia and Andalucia regions have been affected by torrential rains that began early on Friday.

Hundreds of people have been evacuated. the strength of the water damaged properties and roads.

Four of those killed were in the coastal provinces of Malaga and Almeria, both popular tourist destinations.

Spain's weather agency says that up to 245 litres of water per square metre fell on Friday morning alone.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are predicted to continue throughout the weekend.

This weather follows months of drought and high temperatures and drought in Spain throughout the Summer.
