Sheriff: Carnies, others arrested in State Fair drug bust - WBXH

SHREVEPORT, LA (AP) -

Authorities said a drug operation at the Louisiana State Fair in Shreveport netted three carnival workers and five fair-goers.

Drug agents made the arrests Saturday. They did not specify what drugs they found on the suspects.

Timothy Haley of Hawkins, TX was booked with possessing drugs with the intent to distribute them.

The other seven people were charged with possessing a drug.

Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator identified the fair workers as Issam Alkheidi, 26, of Huntington Beach, CA; Fawn Odom, 31, of Casper, WY; and Jay Beeson, 31, of Dallas, TX.

He added Odom and Beeson were booked on felony possession charges, while Alkheidi faces a misdemeanor count.

The other suspects arrested were identified as Tyloer Dickson, 20, of Traskwood, AR; Paul Marrow, 57, of Doyline, LA; Adam Anderson, 31, of Shreveport; and Rumney Evertt, 50, of Shreveport.

The Shreveport Police Department was also involved with the operation.
