Two suspected alleged drug dealers were arrested at a flat in Illovo Beach, Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Sunday.
A Nigerian man and a South African woman were arrested when they arrived at the flat on Saturday, Captain Thulani Zwane said.
"The man was found in possession of R50,000 cash and drugs."
The police then went to another flat in Umhlanga, which the man was renting, and found R150,000 in cash and 500 ecstasy tablets.
"A powder similar to the one found at the first flat was also seized and all recovered drugs will be sent to our laboratory for analysis," said Zwane.
"Two vehicles were also seized for further investigation."
He said the arrests came after police received a tip-off earlier this month.
On July 6, police went to the Amanzimtoti flat and found 10kgs of suspected heroin with a street value of R2.5 million and between 1600 and 1800 ecstasy tablets with a street value of R1.5 million.
No arrests were made that day because no one was at the flat, said Zwane.
The two will appear in the Durban Magistrate's Court on Monday. -Sapa
