Two people killed in Kenton County accident - kypost.com

KENTON COUNTY, Ky. - The drivers of the cars involved in a two-vehicle accident in Kenton County, Ky. have died.

Kenton County police responded to a two-vehicle collision at 11811 Decoursey Pike at approximately 5:25 a.m. Sunday morning.

According to the police report, a 2000 Mercury Cougar was traveling southbound on Decoursey Pike when it traveled left of the center line and struck a northbound 1999 Toyota Camry.

The driver of the Mercury Cougar, William Martin Jr., 28, of New Richmond was pronounced dead a short time after being transported by helicopter to University Hospital.

The female driver of the Toyota Camry was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman's name is being withheld until her family has been notified.

Both drivers were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
