Boy arrested for circulating obscene MMS of girlfriend - Times of India

DHANBAD: Dhanbad police on Monday arrested a school student Kamal Mittal from his residence at Kenduadih on charges of making and circulating MMS of her minor neighbour. Mittal has been sent to judicial custody.

Amit Kumar, deputy SP of Dhanbad visited Kenduadih and investigated the case following an FIR filed by the father of the victim. Her father alleged the boy had been blackmailing her for the last several months. He found the MMS of her daughter with the boy in circulation at a vegetable market.

The boy told police the girl was her friend and he loved her. He claimed the girl used to visit his home and they were close. He admitted to have shot the MMS without her knowledge. Mittal also claimed he had shown the MMS clip to one of his friend at Baliyapur, 20 km from here.

According to Mittal, he did not circulate the MMS but it was his friend who circulated it among his friends. Mittal's father runs a general store at Kenduadih.

This was the ninth incident of MMS circulation in Dhanbad in a year. Most of the victims are school going students. Dhanbad police said the boy would be tried under the Cyber Crimes (Offences) Act and section 376(2 G) of IPC.
