Man accused of making obscene phone calls to local women - WPSD Local 6

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. - He allegedly made obscene phone calls to several women in the Local 6 area.  Now, he's facing charges.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says they've charged 53-year-old Brian D. Strawser with four counts of harassing communications.

Several weeks ago, detectives began investigating after a woman reported receiving several obscene calls from a blocked number.  Once they started looking into the crime, detectives say they learned the blocked caller had called at least four women.

Phone records obtained by investigators led them to Strawser who denied making the phone calls or even owning a phone.  They arrested and charged him.

A search of his residence turned up several pieces of evidence, including a cellphone, investigators said.

This isn't the first time Strawser has had legal trouble.  He has previous convictions for Harassing Communications, Possession of Cocaine, and received a 15 year sentence for Arson in 2007, and is currently on felony probation.

After his arrest, Strawser was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
