Mother, son, arrested in drug raid - Sowetan

A mother and son were arrested during a drug raid in Mdantsane, Eastern Cape police said on Friday.

"We arrested the mother, son, and a relative on Thursday. We have long been suspecting they were selling drugs from their home," Lieutenant Nkosikho Mzuku said.

Police confiscated 17 Mandrax tablets and 51 dagga joints, with an estimated street value of R1200.

The three were due to appear in the Mdantsane Magistrate's Court on Friday on charges of drug dealing and possession.
