Two people killed in Shabwah - Al-Sahwah.net

 

Alsahwah.net- Two people were killed on Tuesday in Ataq city of Shabwah as security forces shot fire on their vehicle.

For his part, governor of Shabwah Ahmed Bahaj formed a panel to investigate into the incident.

Shabwah witnessed a relative stability and security after the new governor was appointed in last September.

Shabwah was among the main harbor of Al-Qaeda, but the Yemeni army could cleanse it from militants early of 2012.

Yemen's security authorities have captured eleven al-Qaeda suspects in al-Dhala'a governorate.

Tow other escapes from the Political Security's jail in al-Hodeidah governorate were also arrested.

Meanwhile, four Al-Qaeda suspects were killed on Saturday as an air raid targeted their car in al-Manaseh area of al-Baida governorate.

Local sources said that a US drone targeted the vehicle, pointing out that two al-Qaeda suspects were killed at the same area.

Al-Mansih is the main stronghold of an al-Qaeda leader Tariq al-Dhahab who was killed in February after he captured many public facilities.
