16 arrested in Storm Lake, Iowa, drug raids - Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier

STORM LAKE, Iowa --- Sixteen people face charges after investigations into the use and sale of marijuana, methamphetamine and illegal prescription drugs in Storm Lake, Iowa.

The arrests were part of an initiative the Storm Lake Police Department dubbed Operation Shadow Client, police said Wednesday.

The first arrest was made at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday after a search warrant at 111 East 10th St., revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to a police statement.

Investigators arrested the tenant, Jarius Edwards, for misdemeanor drug charges and began locating other people connected with the drug investigations, police said.

Arrested for felony charges:

* Sandra Chaidez, 20, Storm Lake: Deliver of methamphetamine.

* Daniel Flores, 18, Storm Lake: Delivery of marijuana.

* Daniel Gonzalez, 20, Storm Lake: Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

* Mariano Jimenez, 37, Storm Lake: Two counts of delivery of marijuana, both felonies, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

* Matthew Ung, 22, Storm Lake: Possession with intent to deliver marijuana.

Arrested for misdemeanor charges:

* Jarius Edwards, 47, Storm Lake: possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

* Christian Wunder, 31, Storm Lake: Four counts of possession of prescription drugs (Buspar, Meclizine, Risperdal and Oxycodone).

* Kevin Franco, 23, Storm Lake: Possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

* Rogelio Diaz, 19, Storm Lake: Possession of marijuana, gathering where controlled substances are used and possession of drug paraphernalia.

* Guillermo Manriquez-Hernandez, 45, Storm Lake: Possession of marijuana.

* Joshua Wetherell, 25, Alta, Iowa: Possession of marijuana - second offense.

* Geoffery Ullerich, 22, Storm Lake: Possession of marijuana.

* Michael Whiteside, 53, Storm Lake: Possession of a prescription drug (metformin)

* Gilbert Palomares Jr., 20, Storm Lake: Possession of marijuana, gathering where controlled substances are used and possession of drug paraphernalia.

* Darchelle Groce, 48, Storm Lake: Possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

* Bonifacio Granados Cuellar, 27, Storm Lake: Possession of methamphetamine.
