BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A month long drug investigation ended Wednesday, after a car chase in Bakersfield.

During the investigation detectives found that five Bakersfield residents known as 33-year-old Alejandro Hernandez, 25-year-old Jorge Roman, 21-year-old Louis Jacobo, 25-year-old Alejandro Jocobo, and 22 year-old Armando Anaya had and sold over five pounds of meth.

On Jan. 23, Roman, Hernandez, and Anaya were arrested in a business parking lot in the 5400 block of Rosedale Highway; however Louis and Alejandro Jacobo and third unknown person drove off in the vehicle that held the drugs.

The men proceeded to throw the drugs out of the moving car while running from police, however detectives were able to recover most of the meth off of the road. Louis and Alejandro Jacobo were eventually arrested in the Town and Country Shopping Center  on Stockdale Highway after trying to blend in with shoppers. The third unknown suspect was able to escape.

All men were arrested and booked for various drug charges.
