According to Reuters, "the 32-item collection was submitted by Lewinsky's former lover Andy Bleiler to special prosecutor Kenneth Starr during his investigation of the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal in the 1990s."

Monica Lewinsky, now 39-years-old, is the former White House intern with whom U.S. President Bill Clinton admitted to having had an "improper relationship" with while she worked at the White House in 1995 and 1996.

The affair and its repercussions, highlighted by Bill Clinton's impeachment, became commonly known as the Lewinsky scandal.

Some of the Lewinsky owned auction items include her black negligee and letters from then President Bill Clinton.

You can check out the full lot of auction items on the Nate D. Sanders Auctions website.

"Items owned by Monica Lewinsky, especially relating to the Clinton scandal and Ken Starr investigation are exceedingly rare," auctioneer Nate D. Sanders said in a statement.

"This is, to my knowledge, the only collection of this nature to come to light."

Online bidding is scheduled to end on June 27.

After the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal subsided, Monica Lewinsky went on to put out a line of handbags under her name, became an advertising spokesperson for a diet plan, worked as a television personality, and moved to London where she earned a degree in psychology.
