Father and son arrested on drug, gun charges - WWLP 22News

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) - A Pittsfield man and his teenage son have been arrested following a police raid on their apartment.

Police say they recovered more than eight grams of crack cocaine, guns, drug-dealing paraphernalia, and $500 in cash from the apartment occupied by 41-year-old Harold Young III and 17-year-old Daequan Carter.

Young pleaded not guilty Thursday to drug and gun charges and was held on $5,000 cash bond. Carter pleaded not guilty to gun charges and was freed on personal recognizance.

The Berkshire Eagle reports that Young's lawyer told a judge his client was cooperative with police and the money was for rent.

The teen's lawyer said his client just turned 17, had no record, and didn't have anything to do with the drugs or guns allegedly found in the apartment.
