TWO men were charged before the City Prosecutor's Office after they were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the police at Wellspring Village in Catalunan Pequeno, Davao City Monday.

The two were arrested in a buy-bust operation launched by the Talomo police in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Davao at the house of Gomez at around 3 p.m.

Police Officer 1 Dan Rey Callo of Talomo police, in his affidavit, said they were tipped by an informant about the illegal drug activities of Gomez and Delima in the area.

Superintendent Julius E. Silagan of Talomo police formed an eight-man team who arranged a transaction with the suspects.

Police made an arrest after Gomez received the buy-bust money and Delima handed out a plastic sachet containing shabu worth P500 to a police officer who acted as poseur buyer.

Also recovered from the possession of the suspects were six big plastic sachets of shabu, two small plastic sachets of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, and assorted mobile phones.

The two are currently detained at Talomo Police Station while the confiscated drugs were endorsed to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory in Davao. It will be later used as evidence against the suspects during the preliminary investigation in court.
