Four people were killed in separate acts of violence in the city on Saturday.

A supporter of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ), 47-year-old Mohammad Ali was found dead in Gulshan-e-Hadeed near National Highway within the Steel Town police limits. According to a spokesperson for the ASWJ, the victim was the brother-in-law of Sukkur ASWJ president Maulana Ramzan Naumani.

Ali was going to Hyderabad from Sukkur on Friday when unidentified persons kidnapped him and shot him twice. The body was then taken to Jinnah Postgradaute Medical Centre for an autopsy and later handed over to his family for burial. No case has been registered.

Forty-one-year-old Prem Gul was found dead in Rexor Lane within the limits of the Pak Colony police station. Police officials said he was shot and killed after being kidnapped. The victim hailed from Larkana.

A woman, Shamim Sultan, wife of Abdul Ghaffor Baloch, was killed inside her house in Faqir Colony within the Steel Town police limits. Police officials said initial investigations reveal that her three sons from the first husband murdered her because of her second marriage.

Forty-two-year-old Chaudhry Aslam was found dead inside his house in Abdullah Shah Ghazi Goth in the Sachal police remits. Police officials said that Aslam was hit on his head by a sharp-edged weapon by his former wife's husband, Waqas Raja, over a family dispute.
