PORTLAND, Ore. – Eight people at what investigators think was a gathering place for three white-supremacist gangs were arrested on various charges Wednesday, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said.
SWAT teams led by the sheriff's office seized six guns, one-and-a-half ounces of methamphetamine, drug records and various paraphernalia while executing a search warrant at a triplex near 10900 E. Burnside early Wednesday morning.
Several law-enforcement agencies served the warrant on two units in the triplex as part of a months-long drug and weapons investigation.
The team detained two people outside the unit when they arrived, then used flash bangs and loudspeakers to roust the rest. When nobody came out, they used tear gas, which flushed out all but one of the suspects. When the team searched the units, it found one more suspect hiding in an attic.
The charges included probation violations and several warrants ranging from felon in possession of a firearm to possession of methamphetamine to theft to failure to register as a sex offender.
Police said the location had been identified as a gathering place for white-supremacists gang members from three gangs: "European Kindred," "Brood" and "FBK (Fat Bitch Killers)."
Those arrested were: 35-year-old Josh Sparks; 42-year old Anthony; 48-year-old Kenneth Wellman Jr.; 45-year-old Jimmy Phillips; 34-year-old Jesse Jerome Phillips; 32-year-old Sarah Dunn; 22-year-old Danielle Palen; and 43-year-old Jamie Coleman.
Two more women were detained but not arrested.
