TRENTON — A city man was arrested Friday after officers found he was storing guns and drugs in an abandoned house next door to his own, the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office said.

Ronald Jennings, 43, was arrested at his home on the 500 block of Brunswick Avenue at 5 p.m. Friday. Inside, officers found $1,852 in cash, the prosecutor's office said.

Officers then searched the abandoned home and garage next door and found two grams of powder cocaine, three grams of heroin, 64 grams of marijuana, two shotguns, one handgun and hollow-point ammunition, the office said.

The estimated street value of the drugs is $1,340.

Jennings was arrested by officers from the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force, the state police, the Drug Enforcement Administration and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

He is charged with multiple drug and weapons offenses, including certain persons not to possess a weapon.

He is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center in lieu of $25,000 bail, the prosecutor's office said.
