Troopers: Duo arrested after drugs fall from pants - Albany Times Union

ALBANY - Two men were charged with drug possession after, State Police said, a bag full of prescription pills fell out of the waste band of one of their pants.

Troopers said they were initially talking to the driver, Stephen B. Booth, 24, of Colonie after a Tuesday traffic stop on the Thruway when they said they spotted the passenger, Thomas L. McCormick, 24, of Clifton Park try to hide something.

As State Police questioned McCormick outside the vehicle, they said, a bag of pills containing 257 Oxcycodone pills fell from his waistband to the ground.

State Police said they found another 14 Oxycodone pills and three Alprazolam, commonly known as Xanax, inside the vehicle.

The two men were charged with felony and misdemeanor drug possession charges.

McCormick was arraigned in the City Court and sent to the Albany County Jail to await a bail hearing.

Booth was given tickets. He is expected to appear in court on Nov. 1.
