SLIDESHOW & COMMUNITY REACTION: Dozens arrested in Summers County ... - WVNS-TV

HINTON -

People in Summers County are reacting after hearing 52 people were arrested and face a total of more than 170 counts.

Troopers say they hear the cries from people who live in Summers County to do something about the drug problem.

"When I moved down here 20 years ago from Indiana, I tried to get away from things like this," said Goldie Hutchinson.

"If there were more jobs provided, maybe some of these people would get off the streets and do better things with their lives than drug use," said Rafael Jackson.

People in the community believe treatment centers would also help.

Some have family members dealing with drug problems.

"Numerous ones.  It's a sad situation.  It really is," said Rafael Jackson.

And others are glad to hear about the arrests.

"I just wish that a lot of the stuff wouldn't go on," said Christopher Smith.
