Drugs arrests continue after cocaine seized

THE police crackdown on the drugs supply in south Worcestershire continues after cocaine worth more than £50,000 was seized from a Malvern flat.
A man and a woman were arrested on Thursday after a warrant was executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a property in Abbey Road at about 10.30am.
Jason Kerton, aged 41, and 44-year-old Kelly Rodda appeared in Worcester Magistrates Court on Friday charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and were remanded in custody.
The pair are due to return to court on Friday, October 5.
This follows on from Operation Dorado which has seen 26 drug dealers jailed for a total of 81 years in the major undercover operation.
A police spokesperson said: "Following on from Operation Dorado this week - which saw 26 people sentenced to 81 years for conspiring to supply Class A drugs in Worcester - we are pleased that officers have seized such a large quantity of cocaine in Malvern, which stops it from being circulated within our community.
"Targeting those who deal hard drugs continues to be a top priority for police in South Worcestershire, and for West Mercia as a whole.
"Drugs cause untold misery for people and we will continue to tackle the issue and prosecute anyone involved in their production, use and supply.
"However, we do rely on information from people living in our communities about illegal drug activity.
"If members of the public suspect drugs are being produced or supplied at an address, please call us with any information you may have."
