DALLAS (AP) — Prosecutors say seven suspects have been arrested in a Dallas-based methamphetamine and weapons investigation.

Authorities say five defendants who were being held Wednesday await federal detention hearings. Two others waived their detention hearings Tuesday and were ordered to remain in custody.

The FBI and Dallas police say the suspects are charged in a federal complaint with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of meth.

State search warrants were also carried out in the seizure of drugs, firearms and several vehicles, including a Bentley.

All seven defendants are from Dallas.
