5 arrested on drug charges in northern AZ - KPHO Phoenix

FLAGSTAFF, AZ (CBS5) -

Several people accused of possessing and selling drugs to Northern Arizona University students were arrested Monday after officers served a search warrant on a home, Flagstaff police said.

Among the five arrested were two students, one from NAU and the other from Coconino Community College.

The Northern Arizona Street Crimes Task Force executed the warrant at the Sterling Pointe apartment complex at 923 W. University.

The investigation began several months ago when officers targeted one of the residents. Undercover agents conducted several controlled purchases of MDMA, which is a concentrated form of the drug ecstasy and classified as a dangerous drug.
