Alleged drug dealer arrested - Ledger Independent

MANCHESTER, Ohio | In the second drug bust in as many days, Manchester Police Department shut down another alleged drug trafficking operation.

According to MPD Chief Jeff R. Bowling, on Jan. 5, MPD officers were conducting an investigation into drug trafficking that was occurring at 30 ½ Jack Roush Way, assisted by Winchester, Ohio Police Department and Adams County Sheriff's Department.

David "Peewee" Greene was arrested after selling 8 Suboxone strips in the presence of juveniles.

According to Bowling, officer's entered the residence and retrieved additional Suboxone strips plus $160 in marked money that was used to buy the strips. Greene was placed under arrest without incident and charged with drug trafficking.

Greene was taken to Adams County Jail to await arraignment.

The action pleased Manchester Mayor Troy Jolly, who issued a statement following the arrest.

"The Manchester Police Department has been very busy the past week. This has been our second drug bust over the past week. I commend our police department on a job well done and glad to see our neighborhoods being cleaned," Jolly said. "I do not want to have drug dealers or abusers in our town. This should be a message that should be very clear. If you are doing drugs in our town we will find you and will arrest you."
