Bubba the Love Sponge, Hulk Hogan, Gawker, Heather Clem sex tape scandal ... - WPTV

TAMPA - Hulk Hogan's attempt to strong arm gossip website Gawker.com into taking down the sex tape that has caused a media frenzy over the last few weeks has been denied by a federal judge.

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, filed suits against Heather Clem, Bubba the Love Sponge and Gawker Media last week after a sex tape featuring the former pro-wrestler was posted on Gawker's site. (http://bit.ly/QIx49H )

A motion for Temporary Restraining Order was filed to try and force Gawker to remove the video.

The tape showed Hogan having sex with Heather Clem, who is the ex-wife of Hogan's former best friend and radio personality, DJ Bubba the Love Sponge, in 2006.

Bollea said he was taped having sex with his former friend's wife without his knowledge nor his consent.

Bollea claims Bubba leaked the tape to Gawker Media, and he is now suing Bubba for $15,000 and Gawker for $100 million.

The judge said Bollea failed to show how the tape would cause him irreparable damage.

Another hearing has been set for November 8.
