KALAMAZOO, MI -- Police arrested two Kalamazoo men early Friday morning after finding guns and drugs at a residence near the 1200 block of East Stockbridge Avenue.
Police said they searched the residence at 6:45 a.m. Friday after they received several tips of drug trafficking in the area. A large quantity of marijuana, packaging materials, a semi-automatic rifle, ammunition, and loaded magazines were found.
Police said the residence was occupied by two men, ages 39 and 40, who were arrested on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute marijuana and felony firearm felon firearm charges.
The men were being lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
The search warrant was executed by officers from the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team, a part of the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Community Outreach and Problem Solving Division, and the Kalamazoo Metro Special Weapons and Tactics Team.
