Angel A. Lara, 25, of Roxbury was arrested on the afternoon of Nov. 21 after allegedly selling drugs to a Braintree man at the latter's Cocheto Street home.
According to Police Chief Russell Jenkins, detectives had been conducting surveillance of the man's home after allegedly receiving information that he was receiving drug deliveries almost daily.
According to police, the dealer would pull his minivan into the garage where detectives believed the drug transactions took place.
On Nov. 21, Braintree and Quincy detectives were watching the house and observed the minivan pull into the garage and then leave a few minutes later.
Detectives followed the minivan and conducted a traffic stop a short distance away.
The operator, later identified as Lara, was allegedly uncooperative, refused to exit his vehicle and was ultimately removed from the minivan and taken into custody, Jenkins stated.
Other detectives still watching the house confronted the resident with their suspicions. T
his individual, whose name was not released because he has not yet been charged in connection with the investigation, made statements that led detectives still with Lara to place him under arrest for distribution of heroin, conspiracy to violate the Controlled Substances Act and resisting arrest.
