Two Arrested on Drug Charges After Massena Assaults - WWNY TV 7

Two people have been arrested in connection with Monday's attempted robbery turned violent on Bishop Avenue in Massena.

This after an extensive search of the apartment where it happened turned up more than 1,600 "bundles" of heroin - that's nearly four ounces. The street value of the drugs is more than $30,000, Massena Police Chief Timmy Currier wrote in a media statement.

The drugs were found in the bedroom of one of the people now under arrest.

21-year-old Gerald Dissottle, Jr. and 19-year-old Megan LaFlesh, both one-time residents of the 15 Bishop Avenue apartment, were taken into custody by state police at a home on State Route 56 in the town of Lousiville Saturday morning.

Both are charged with felony Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree and are awaiting arraignment in Massena Village Court.

Massena police obtained a search warrant for the Bishop Ave. apartment Monday night, after one person was shot, another stabbed, and a third person suffered blunt force trauma to the head during an apparent attempted robbery.

Police say they found and collected other evidence in connection with the assault as well, but they aren't saying what because the investigation is ongoing.
