Police arrested and charged a Finksburg man after they said he tried to sell prescription drugs to an off-duty officer.

Ray Lee Pullen Jr., 31, is accused of approaching the officer, who was out with family members, in the 300 block of North Market Street at about 12:40 a.m. today.

Pullen took out several pills, which he showed the officer and offered to sell, according to a Frederick Police Department news release.

The officer stalled Pullen as he called police to the scene to arrest Pullen. Officers found numerous prescription drugs on Pullen, many of which were hidden in his socks, police said.

Pullen was taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center for an appearance before a commissioner. He is charged with drug possession and possession with intent to distribute.
