TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Metal and grind-core festival music, Obscene Extreme Asia in Jakarta rejects being sponsored by tobacco companies. The festival will be held in Jakarta April 6. Obscene Extreme Asia is a franchise of the music festival from the Czech Republic.

"The event in the Czech Republic is not supported by tobacco companies either. In other words, we will probably use sponsors other than cigarette companies," said initiator of Obscene Extreme Asia, Ade Hirmenio Adnis of Noxa, on January 27.

In 2010 Noxa represented Indonesia at the Czech festival. Noxa's guitarist Ade became interested in bringing it to Asia. In preparing the festival, Ade encountered many problems, such as processing working visa permits for the bands from abroad that would be performing.

The foreign bands include the Finnish grind-core unit, Rotten Sound, and the mincecore collective from Belgium, the Agathocles. Local bands include Siksa Kubur and Jasad. Other than in the Czech Republic and Indonesia, the Obscene Extreme Festival will also be held in Mexico and Australia this year.
