HAMPTON -- Police are searching for the person or people responsible for a shooting early Saturday morning that left 2 people dead.
Officers found the bodies of 30-year-old Joseph Lee McQueen of Hampton and 24-year-old Clifton Kareem Christian of Norfolk outside White Oak Lodge on Kecoughtan Road.
Hampton Police Division received several calls at about 1:46 a.m.about shots being fired in the area.
One of the people who called 9-1-1 was Maryanne Napier.
"I could hear people screaming and crying," said Napier, who recalled someone shouting, "He has shot my childhood buddy."
Officers were not sure what led to the shooting.
