Campbell police make several drug arrests

CAMPBELL

Police made seven drug-related arrests on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Brent Weston, 32, of Lowellville was arrested at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, and is charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Police confiscated 1.9 grams of suspected marijuana and $793 in cash.

Elbert W. Shuler, 27, of Youngstown, was arrested at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, and is charged with possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia and drug-abuse instruments. Police confiscated 1.3 grams of heroin, a spoon with suspected heroin residue and a burn, seven hypodermic needles, a digital scale with suspected heroin residue, a cigarette butt of suspected marijuana, and $125.35 in cash.

Freddie Warren, 54, of Cleveland Heights was arrested at about 3 p.m. Wednesday, and is charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, as well as for soliciting without a permit on private property. Police confiscated 1.2 grams of suspected marijuana.

Warmsly M. Lewis, 58, of Cleveland, was arrested at the same time as Warren, and is charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, for soliciting without a permit, and for fleeing and eluding police. Police confiscated six different pills.

Christine M. Texter, 52, of Youngstown, was arrested at about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, and is charged with possession of drug-abuse instruments and driving under suspension. Police confiscated two needles.

Dontrail R. Burkes, 23, of Youngstown, was arrested at about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, and is charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, as well as for driving under suspension.

Derrell Easterly, 26, of Youngstown, was arrested at the same time, and is charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, and for obstructing official business.

Between Burkes and Easterly, police confiscated 10.1 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a partial blunt of suspected marijuana, $36 in cash, and $1,189 in cash.

All will be arraigned at 9 a.m. today in Campbell Municipal Court.
