Twenty four people have died after a double-decker bus crashed on a mountain pass near Cape Town in South Africa.
The bus was carrying around 80 people from a church group in the Cape township of Khayelitsha in eastern Mpumalanga province when the driver lost control, reports the Daily Telegraph.
It is believed that braking problems on the bus could have been responsible for the accident on the Hex River pass.

Faiza Steyn, Western Cape health spokeswoman, told AFP: "Twenty three died on the scene and one person on the way to hospital."
She added that two children had died and an additional 45 injured people were taken to hospital.

Kenny Africa, the head of provincial traffic services for the area, said the bus veered off the road 140 kilometres (87 miles) from Cape Town and landed on its side.
He told AFP: "A lot of the passengers were trapped under the bus, we had to use a huge crane to lift the bus to get the passengers out underneath."
