Nine charged over Cavan drugs seizure - RTE.ie

All nine, including a publican, were arrested yesterday by gardaí in the Bailieborough and Cootehill areas.

Marian Owens, 25, from Corkish in Bailiborough, was charged with possessing cannabis and possessing the drug with the intention of selling or supplying it at Kangley's Bar in the town on 14 September last.

Mark Sheridan, 27, from Bexcourt in Bailieborough, faces six charges relating to possessing cannabis and MDMA at various dates in the town and also having the drugs for sale or supply.

Patrick Joyce, 24, from Bexcourt View in the town also faces six charges relating to the possession of cannabis for sale or supply between August and September.

Patrick Clarke, 36, from Tanderagee in Bailieborough faces a total of seven charges relating to possessing drugs known as MDMA, MEC and PVP at various locations around Bailieborough in July of this year.

Noel McHugh from Woodview Estate, Bailieborough, faces four charges relating to possessing MEC for the purpose of selling or supplying to others between July and August.

Diane McCabe, 29, also from Woodview, faces a single charge of possessing MEC for selling or supplying to others at Kangley's Bar in Bailieborough.

John King, 27, from Drumnaveil in Cootehill faces a single charge of possessing MDMA in the town in May for the purpose of selling or supplying to others.

Kieran Farrell, 29. from Corkish in Bailieborough, faces 15 charges relating mainly to the possession of cannabis and possession for the purpose of selling or supplying to others at various locations around the town.

Michelle Farrell, 47, also from Corkish in Bailieborough is charged with knowingly permitted the sale or supply of drugs on her premises between July and September of this year at Kangley's Bar, Main Street in the town.

Judge Sean McBride granted all nine bail with conditions.

They are due to appear back before the court again next month.
