Man Arrested for Violent OKC Murder

One man is in custody for the 2012 brutal murder of an Oklahoma City man.

Tony Overton, 36, was arrested Thursday for the death of Ricky Wallice in August 2012.

Wallice was killed August 29th inside a house on SW 19th terrace. Police say two men barged into his home and attacked him.

Wallice's girlfriend was with him when the violence started. She told police two men knocked on the door and when Wallice answered, they pushed their way inside. She said the men then grabbed two baseball bats that were inside the home and beat Wallice with them. She told police one of the men hit him on the head, knocking him out.

When she tried to dial 911, one of the men took her phone and broke it and told her to go to the bedroom.

She went into her son's room and told police he was hiding in his closet. She tried blocking the door so the men couldn't come in but she was overpowered by one of the men. She told him her son was in the room and the man shut the door and told her to stay in the room.

Once she no longer heard any noises, she ran next door and used a neighbor's phone to call 911. She told police the men stole a digital camera and her house and car keys.

When police arrived, they found a large amount of blood on the floor of the home. Wallice was taken to a local hospital where he later died. A neighbor told police the two men rode away on bicycles.

On Thursday, Overton was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail. He faces charges of murder, robbery, and burglary.

Police are still looking for another suspect described as being an African-American man, about 30-35 years old, with a shaved head, standing about  5'9", and weighing 150 lbs. Anyone with information is asked to call the Oklahoma City Police.Man Arrested for Violent OKC Murder
