The Quezon City prosecutor who was tagged in the sex video scandal has denied the charges filed by his wife before the Department of Justice.
Assistant City Prosecutor Philip Dela Rosa did not appear before the DOJ in the preliminary investigation on charges of grave coercion, grave threats and violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.
Instead, he sent his lawyer Modesto Ticman Jr. to take up the case in the proceedings.
âHeâs denying the video. Heâs not the one in the video,â Ticman said, adding that a counter-affidavit would be submitted at the next hearing on March 1 along with a counter-complaint for robbery against his wife for allegedly stealing his BMW car.
The complainant, Dr. Aimee Dela Rosa, attended the hearing and affirmed her allegations against her husband.
âItâs very obvious in the videoit was him and his other woman. So letâs just wait for the judgment of the fiscal,â she told reporters, referring to Senior Asst. State Prosecutor Rosalina Aquino who was handling the preliminary investigation. .
âI donât think thatâs robbery. I bought that car, and I just gave it to him. He knows that. Itâs in my name.â
