Kuwaiti trio, 2 women admit drug trafficking; gun seized

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24: Three Kuwaiti men, a Kuwaiti woman and an Arab woman were arrested recently for possession of drugs, an unlicensed weapon and bullets, says Al-Seyassah.
According to security sources, when the Directorate General for Drug Control received information about a Kuwaiti citizen involved in drug trafficking, a team was formed for investigations.
After confirming the tip-off, they took legal measures and raided his apartment to find him consuming drugs with two other Kuwaiti citizens, a Kuwaiti woman and an Arab woman.
They were arrested and during interrogations, they confessed that they were involved in drug trafficking.
Checking the apartment, securitymen found one kilogram of hashish and other intoxicants, an unlicensed weapon and bullets.
The suspects were referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
Security sources confirmed that the security team will continue to investigate camps and suspected flats to find and arrest drug peddlers and addicts from all areas of the country in an effort to eliminate such a negative phenomenon from the country.

Drugs and weapon: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested recently for drunk driving and possession of an unlicensed weapon and 86 bullets, reports Al-Anba daily.
Reportedly, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about an individual shooting into the air and driving recklessly, securitymen rushed to the location and arrested the suspect.
Sensing his disoriented state, they realized he was drunk and checked his details to discover he is a Kuwaiti citizen.
They checked the vehicle and found the weapon and bullets.
He was referred to the General Department for Criminal Evidences for necessary legal action against him.
Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen was arrested recently for possession of a handgun and 48 bullets.
While securitymen were patrolling the area, they suspected the driver and stopped him to check his vehicle, after which they found the handgun and bullets.
