A 60-year-old Gatineau man and his 52-year-old wife face a slew of charges in connection with a police raid of an apartment that netted drugs and cash.

Police seized a two-kg brick of cocaine, 150 grams of cocaine, 110 grams of crack cocaine, 4,200 tablets of speed, 360 Viagra pills, 1.6 kilograms of marijuana and $58,000 in cash following a search of a St. Louis apartment on Tuesday, where a woman was arrested.

Scales and a vehicle were also seized as offence-related property.

Gatineau police say the seizure followed the Tuesday morning arrest of three people, where a drug buy was taking place. Gang squad officers arrested the trio shortly before 11 a.m. in the parking lot outside the Farmer Place shopping centre along Greber Blvd.

One of the three was released on a promise to appear, while another was released without charge.

Gilles Chenier and Linda Blake face several charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of an illegally obtained sum of money exceeding $5,000. They were slated to appear in court on Wednesday.

Police say Chenier was released from prison in May 2012 after a sentence of eight years for armed robbery and drug trafficking offences. Blake is also known to police.
