More details in Glacier High School drug arrests - KPAX-TV

KALISPELL - Local police arrested seven Glacier High School students after different investigations tied the students to drugs, and as Dax VanFossen reports, it took a coordinated effort between school officials, parents and law enforcement to crack these drug cases.

Authorities announced on Wednesday that seven Glacier High School students had been arrested after being suspects in either selling dangerous drugs or having them in their possession.

School Resource Officer Jason Parce said in a press release that the school and the community made the arrests possible.

"It's parent's, community members or other staff members making the school and the school resource officer aware of the situation and then that prompted the investigation," Parce stated.

"The collaboration between the Kalispell Police Department and the schools is essential in order to keep our schools safe in any types of situations. But in this kind of case it is a huge asset to be able to work this together," Kalispell Schools Superintendent Darlene Schottle added.

Seven juvenile males have been arrested and referred to Flathead County Youth Court, where they face charges including possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs, and criminal distribution of drugs on or near school property.

Parce stressed that these cases are not tied to each other.

"These are four separate instances, and there were more individuals involved, but they weren't deemed to be in violation of the law with their actions," he explained.

Two of the seven juveniles were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, one juvenile was arrested for possession of drugs, and four of the juveniles were arrested for criminal distribution of drugs on or near school property.
