Three arrested in Haverhill drug raid yesterday - Eagle-Tribune

HAVERHILL — Police arrested two men and one woman on drug trafficking charges yesterday after an ongoing investigation into drug dealing at a Franklin Street apartment.

At 8:23 a.m. yesterday, Haverhill police detectives with the assistance of ATF special agents executed a search warrant of 138 Franklin St., Apt. 1. Police arrested the following people on charges of trafficking in cocaine and conspiracy to violate the drug laws: Ronald Coppinger, 28, Ronald Brillon, 35, and Lucienne DeOliveira, 25, all of 138 Franklin St. DeOliveira was additionally charged with disorderly conduct.

Police Deputy chief Donald Thompson said detectives recovered 14 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of about $1,200, as well as $800 in cash during the raid. The three were expected to be arraigned on the charges yesterday in Haverhill District Court.

Two arrested for drugs in mall lot

METHUEN — Police arrested two New Hampshire residents and charged them with drug possession after an off duty officer spotted them in the Village Mall parking lot on Broadway Thursday afternoon.

The off-duty office believed they were using drugs, and called the police station for on-duty officers.

The young couple said they were enjoying some ice cream when on-duty officers approached them a short time later. But during the investigation, police found pills they said the couple were crushing up and smoking using tinfoil and a straw.

Derek D. Nicholson, 25, 49 Summer St., Rochester, N.H., and Kayla J. McQuarrie, 22, 14 King Charles Drive, Londonderry, N.H., were arrested at 436 Broadway Thursday at 3:20 p.m. and charged with possession of a class B substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

There was no indication in the police report as to whether ice cream was located in the vehicle.
