2 accused of selling drugs in Wallingford theater lot - New Haven Register

WALLINGFORD — Two upstate New York residents were arrested on a variety of drug charges Friday night after they were found to be selling drugs in one of the parking lots at the Toyota Presents Oakdale Theater, according to police.

Judith Grasso, 50, and 41-year-old David Kayne, of 421 Brown Road in Olivebridge, N.Y., were arrested after selling Ecstacy to an informant who was working with undercover officers in the parking lot prior to a performance by the Dark Star Orchestra, a Grateful Dead tribute band, said Sgt. Cheryl Bradley with the Wallingford Police Department's detective division.

Grasso and Kayne had a large amount of cash and illegal drugs on them at the time they were arrested, police said. Police also reported seizing the following items from the duo and a car that was registered to Grasso: 3.4 ounces of Ecstacy packaged for sale in small bags; 114 LSD tabs; 35 chocolate covered psilocybin mushrooms. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $13,000, according to Bradley.

Kayne was being held in lieu of $150,000 bail after being charged with variety of drug related counts, while Grasso was held in lieu of $100,000 bail on similar charges.
