Three arrested for drug related charges after bust in South Dakota - WEAU-TV 13

(WEAU) – A drug bust in South Dakota leads to three arrests in western Wisconsin.

The Onalaska Police Department says it got a call on October 7th from the Drug Task Force in Rapid City, South Dakota. The task force said it had caught a person driving from California to Onalaska with 37 pounds of marijuana.

The police department says officers then dropped the marijuana at its intended destination, in a garage at a home on 9th Avenue North in Onalaska. Police say officers then saw a driver stop at the garage and then leave. Officers stopped that car and arrested Brandon Eckert after they found 9 pounds of pot in his car.

Police say officers also executed a search warrant at the house the drugs were dropped at, which lead to the arrest of Ben Zimmer and Alyssa Zimmer, who lived at the home. Police say Ben Zimmer and Eckert were arrested on charges of possession with the intent to deliver, and Alyssa Zimmer was arrested on a charge of being a party to marijuana possession with intent to deliver.
