Four arrested on drugs, other charges - Rapid City Journal

Four individuals have been arrested on various charges involving drugs, terroristic threats and child abuse.

The Chadron Police Department said in a press release Thursday morning that Carlos Carmona, 18, Joshua Carder, 22, Joe King, 22, and Brandee Jackson, 20, were all arrested Wednesday night after an investigation in to the illegal distribution of narcotics.

Carmona is alleged to have visited a residence at 109 Mears Street to pick up marijuana to sell to a confidential informant for the CPD Oct. 24. Carder allegedly accompanied Carmona during the sale, and both men are accused of threatening a witness. Carmona is charged with felony delivery of marijuana and terroristic threats and was also detained by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency. Carder is facing charges of being an accessory to a felony and of making terroristic threats.

Following the arrest of the two men, police searched the home on Mears Street and seized marijuana packaged for sale, marijuana pipes, money and cell phones. King was arrested and charged with felony delivery of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and child abuse. Jackson was also arrested and charged with intent to deliver and child abuse. A 2-year-old was turned over to a family member.

Chadron Police were assisted by the WING/HIDTA Drug and Violent Crime Task force, which is partially funded through a grant by the Nebraska Crime Commission, the Dawes County Sheriff's Department and the Nebraska State Patrol.
