Mother and daughter arrested in drug bust - KAIT

Blytheville, AR (KAIT)- Several law enforcement agencies arrested a mother and daughter.

On November 14th, the Second Judicial District Drug Task Force, the Blytheville Police Department, Osceola Police Department and the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at Melody Webb's home. It's located in the 100 block of South 15th Street.

According to the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department, when officers entered the home, they encountered Webb and three children. They say the children ranged from 20 days to 17 years of age.

While conducting the search, officers found 6.4 ounces of cocaine and 1 pound of methamphetamine. They also found digital scales, packaging material, and a loaded Walther .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun. Officers report all of the drugs were found in Webb's 17-year-old daughter's room. According to the sheriff's department, combined the drugs are worth a street value of approximately $64,000.00.

Officers arrested Webb and her 17-year-old daughter. The two were charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

The 17-year-old was released to family members, but was charged as an adult.

Webb faces additional charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and felon in possession of a firearm. She is free after posting a $200,000 bond.
