3 suspected drug couriers arrested early morning

SINGAPORE: Three suspected drug couriers from Malaysia riding in to Singapore on their motorcycles were arrested in the early hours of Saturday morning at Woodlands Checkpoint - all within half an hour.
Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers seized 1.5 kilogrammes of heroin and about 325 grammes (g) of Ice worth about S$210,500.
A 21-year-old motorcyclist was found carrying a bundle of heroin weighing about 250g in his underwear.
A second motorcyclist, aged 22, was found with three bundles of drugs - containing about 505g heroin and 325g Ice - located in the front fender beneath the headlight of his motorcycle.
As for the third motorcyclist, aged 19, three bundles of heroin weighing about 750g were recovered from the left fairing of his motorcycle.
CNB said the three men are being investigated for drug importation.
