Three San Luis Obispo men were arrested Thursday after detectives with the Police Department?s Special Enforcement Team watched a drug transaction on Woodside Drive, according to a news release.
Detectives stopped a vehicle associated with the transaction as it left the area. The passenger, Salomon Villar, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
The driver, Abad Perez, an unlicensed driver, had his 1-year old and 2-year-old children in the vehicle with him when the transaction was made. Perez was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, and the toddlers were turned over to county Child Welfare Services.
The San Luis Obispo County sheriff?s narcotics team then searched the home in the 1300 block of Woodside Drive where the transaction allegedly took place. Police confiscated about 3 ounces of methamphetamine, a small amount of cocaine and about $1,300 cash. Cosme Heriberto Lopez-Moreno, who was at the home, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sale and possession of cocaine, as well as child endangerment because he had his 2-year-old daughter with him at the time of the drug sale. Detectives said that drugs were also found in the home within reach of the child.
That child was turned over to relatives but is being evaluated by Child Welfare Services.
While at the Woodside Drive home, detectives also found numerous items of stolen property, police said.
